The desk
A journal, the day measured against your own limits, and your broker’s terms. All three are held in this browser. Nothing is sent anywhere, and there is no account to make.
Profiles
The terms your account actually trades on, entered once. One profile is active at a time, and it is the one the calculators, the journal and the session dashboard read from.
Broker profiles
Nothing here is filled in for you, and nothing ever will be. Commission, spreads, contract sizes and leverage caps differ by broker, by venue, by instrument and by account tier — a list shipped with this site would be wrong for most readers within months, and wrong without saying so. Enter your own terms once and every calculator can read them.
No profiles saved yet.
A profile is one set of account terms: the currency, the balance, the risk you intend to take, what the broker charges, and the specification of each instrument you trade.
Profiles are stored in this browser and nowhere else. Nothing is sent to a server, which also means clearing site data deletes them and they do not follow you to another device.
What reads the active profile
Wherever a calculator asks for an account balance or a risk percentage, the active profile’s figures are offered as the starting values, including in the trade form on the journal. Typing over them affects that calculation only; the profile changes when it is edited here and at no other time.
The profile’s currency is the label on every money figure in the journal and on today’s session. It is a label and nothing more — no rate is applied and no figure is converted, so a profile switched from pounds to dollars renames the amounts without restating them.
Commission, spread and leverage are held per profile so the same instrument can be described twice, once under each account, which is the ordinary case for anyone running a funded account beside their own.
What a profile is and is not
Worth being explicit about, since the word means something else at most brokers.
- Nothing is filled in for you, and no broker is listed. Commission, spreads, contract sizes and leverage caps differ by venue, by instrument and by account tier, and a shipped list would be wrong for most readers without saying which ones.
- A profile is a set of figures, not a connection. No account is linked, no credentials are asked for, and no balance is fetched — the balance is whatever was last typed here.
- Profiles are stored in this browser alongside the journal, and are deleted with it if site data is cleared. They are not included in the journal's CSV or PDF export.
- The list holds up to 20 profiles, each with its own instruments.
Profiles are stored in this browser only. See our privacy policy.
