Not financial advice
Nothing on TraderCalcs.io is financial, investment, trading, tax, legal or accounting advice. The site does not know your circumstances, objectives, financial position or risk tolerance, and nothing published here is tailored to any individual.
TraderCalcs.io is not authorised or regulated by any financial regulator in any jurisdiction — including the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission in the United States, the national regulators of the ESMA member states, and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission — and does not carry on any regulated activity anywhere. If you need advice, consult a suitably qualified professional who is regulated in your own jurisdiction.
No signals, forecasts or recommendations
The site provides no trading signals, price predictions, forecasts, buy or sell recommendations, or opinions on the merits of any instrument, market, strategy, product, broker or platform.
A calculator that returns a position size is telling you what size makes a stop-out cost the percentage you specified. It is not suggesting you take the trade, and it has no view on whether the trade will succeed.
Results depend entirely on your inputs
Every result is derived from figures you enter. A mistyped value produces a confidently wrong answer, and the site has no way to detect it. Check your inputs, and verify anything that matters independently — against your broker’s own figures or by hand using the formula printed on each page.
Calculations also exclude costs that apply in practice. Depending on the calculator these may include spread, commission, slippage, overnight financing, platform fees, stamp duty and tax. Each page lists its own exclusions. Real outcomes will differ, generally unfavourably.
Trading and investing involve risk of loss
Trading and investing carry a risk of losing money, including the possibility of losing more than you deposit where leverage is involved. Past performance does not indicate future results, and no calculation on this site implies that any outcome is likely, probable or achievable.
Where a calculator projects a figure forward — compound interest, dividend income, risk of ruin — it is showing what the assumptions you entered imply arithmetically. It is not a forecast, and constant rates of return do not occur in real markets.
Some products these calculators describe are unregulated
The crypto-asset and perpetual-futures calculators describe products that are unregulated in many jurisdictions and restricted or prohibited in others, including for retail clients in some of the jurisdictions named above. Where a product is unregulated, the investor-protection arrangements that apply to regulated instruments — compensation schemes, complaints ombudsmen, negative-balance protection — generally do not, and it is possible to lose everything committed. That a calculator exists here for an instrument is not a statement that the instrument is available, lawful or suitable where you are.
The prop-firm calculators describe contractual products rather than regulated financial instruments. The rules they model — drawdown terms, profit targets, consistency requirements, payout splits and fees — are set by each firm in its own agreement, differ between firms and between account types at the same firm, and are revised. TraderCalcs.io holds no firm’s rules, cannot verify any firm’s terms or its willingness to pay, and is not affiliated with any of them. Every rule figure on those pages is one you enter from your own agreement.
